Time Out Room Installations UK
Recently the team from SPI & Apex Safety Padding were in the North West of England completing an installation of safety padding in a special care school.
The job entailed manufacturing, from scratch & on site, a room that would meets & exceed the schools requirements for;
- Safety – maximum protection for the users and the staff
- Security – for the user and for maximum peace of mind
- Longevity – durability and life span of the product
Previous Padding Solution.
The site already had safety padding fitted but it was proving to be unsatisfactory both in its protection and durability and it was our job to completely remove the existing material prior to installing our own solution.

Time Scale
With just three and a half days to complete the works the deadline for finishing was looming right from the outset. As is normal in our standard working environments care and consideration had to be exercised to ensure minimal disruption was caused to the school and most importantly it’s pupils. When a safe space, such as a time out room, is out of commission for any amount of time it can cause issues for management of the school, with factors such as this it was key that the works were completed within the timeframe and that deadlines were adhered to.
Materials
As always the appropriate materials to complete the works were specified to the customer in advance, the materials we use have key attributes such as;
Flame retardant properties for foams and wraps
100,000 + Martindale test/rubs for all coverings
Anti-bacterial and Crib rated materials
Design and Installation
The entire room was manufactured on site, this approach allows us to test fit each and every panel prior to final fitting resulting in one thing – the perfect fit and finish. With the perfect fit and finish our customers can be sure that maximum safety is being offered at all times.
